Acceptance Speech (2016) by Eileen Myles is described by Olivia Laing as “reparative… like my imaginative ability to frame utopias and then move purposefully towards them might have been restored, at least for a minute.” The speech, made before the presidential election in 2016, outlines a future in which government and society is fantastically reimagined.
